B.B. King, 1925-2015

Blues legend B.B. King passed away yesterday evening at the age of 89.  King, known as "The King of the Blues," influenced generations of blues and rock guitarists all over the world with his style of "string bending" (on his famous guitar "Lucille") and his vocal phrasing.  During his long career (he performed until last October), he played with virtually every musician of note, including acolyte Eric Clapton, and was inducted into both the Blues and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  Little known fact: King was a licensed pilot who, until he turned 70, often flew himself to gigs.  Here's King's classic, "The Thrill Is Gone."  Rest in peace.
