Frothy Mix Quote of the Day

“The church has gotten it wrong a few times on science, and I think that we probably are better off leaving science to the scientists and focusing on what we're really good at, which is theology and morality.” -- Right-wing loon Rick "Frothy Mix" Santorum, lecturing Pope Francis about his position on man-made climate change.  "Leaving science to the scientists?"  Since when has lawyer Frothy Mix done that?  He leaves the climate change issue up to his fossil fuel industry contributors.

It's worth noting -- again -- that roughly 97 percent of published climate scientists concur that human activity is causing climate change.  That includes the U.S. National Academy of Sciences / National Research Council.  Also, Pope Francis, who holds a Master's degree in chemistry from the University of Buenos Aires, doesn't need Frothy Mix's advice on climate change or science.  It's Frothy Mix who holds 17th century views on evolution, and has seldom met a scientific position he agrees with.

BONUS:  Steve M. at No More Mister Nice Blog has more detail on why Frothy Mix is full of santorum when it comes to the Vatican's knowledge of climate science.
