Ninja Pool Cop Placed on Leave

Yesterday, hundreds of protesters marched through McKinney, Texas calling for the dismissal of an out-of-control police officer who manhandled several black teens at a pool party last Friday.  The officer has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.

Viral videos of the incident show the police officer, Corporal Eric "Headcase" Casebolt angrily forcing a 14 year-old black female in a swimsuit to the ground, and drawing his gun on two black teen friends before they run off.  Earlier, an agitated Casebolt is seen running around chasing teens and ordering them to "get on the ground," at one point executing a Ninja-style roll on the ground.  It would be comical, watching a diminutive police officer thinking he has dangerous criminals cornered, if it weren't emblematic of the problem in law enforcement / African-American community relations nationwide.

The Daily Show's Jon Stewart had his say last night about the overreacting cop:

UPDATE: Thankfully for him and for his community, he's resigned.
