John Ellis "Jeb!" Bush, scion of an over- indulged, under- brained patrician family, has been in damage control mode since he used the derogatory term "anchor babies" to refer to Hispanic immigrants:
"If there's fraud or if there's abuse, if people are bringing, pregnant women are coming in to have babies simply because they can do it, then there ought to be greater enforcement," he said. "That's the legitimate side of this. Better enforcement so that you don't have these, you know, 'anchor babies,' as they're described, coming into the country." (our emphasis)On a quick trip Monday to McAllen, Texas, Jeb! spied a shovel with which to dig himself out of a hole and proceeded to dig deeper:
"What I was talking about was the specific case of fraud being committed where there's organized efforts, and frankly, it's more related to Asian people coming into our country and having children in that organized effort." (our emphasis)We look forward to a visit from Jeb! to California to explain what he really meant was Canadian people (=cough= Tailgunner Ted Cruz =cough=). Yeah, that's the ticket!
Meanwhile, this classic would seem to apply to all Bushes, all the time:
