Quote of the Day

“[George W. Bush] didn’t keep us safe or the people on those planes, those four planes, safe that day. He didn’t keep those safe, those men and women forced to choose between jumping from 100-story roof and being killed by the smoke and the fire. And he didn’t keep safe the hundreds of firefighters killed that day doing their courageous duty.” -- Chris "Tweety" Matthews, summoning some anger, unloading on Dumbya's brother John Ellis "J.E.B.!" Bush for the revisionist, nonsensical history that he's trying to peddle ("We were attacked & my brother kept us safe."). Most of the Republican-wired Beltway political media (and cowardly Dems) have been loath to bring up the warnings of an attack to Dumbya & Co. in the spring and summer of 2001, including the infamous "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S." presidential briefing memo of August 6, 2001. Here's hoping Tweety (and yes, "Rump" Trump) will continue to hammer away as long as J.E.B.! tries to sweep it under the rug, even if his media colleagues think it "impolite" to do so.

"Does anybody actually blame my brother for the attacks on 9/11? If they do they're totally marginalizing our society," - JEB!!!1!11!!

The Right-Wing went into overdrive to shut down anyone who dared state the obvious George W Bush is a massive failure. His tenure as President was even worse than Reagan.

W(orst) failed utterly, in every conceivable way, and harmed the Nation and made the world demonstrably less safe.

It's why no matter what he does, I will always respect Keith Olbermann for taking on the entire Mainstream Media and Right-Wing Attack Dogs in 2006 calling out George Bush daily.

But, we need to keep on this because the Right is already dusting off their old playbooks and trying the whole Clinton is responsible and anyone who thinks Bush didn't keep us safe is a 9/11 Truther.

Great Job!!!

Gene -- The Bush Administration had allies in the MSM, who had spent years cheerleading for Rethug opponents of President Clinton and VP Gore, and had no interest in exposing their man's dereliction of duty. Same is true for the lead up to the Iraq fiasco. BTW, we miss KO also: voice in the wilderness, along with the McClatchy Newspapers.
