The most recent NBC News/ WSJ poll tells us,
Hillary Clinton would defeat Ted Cruz and trounce Donald Trump in a hypothetical head-to-head general election matchup, but she would lose to Marco Rubio or Ben Carson, a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll finds. (our emphasis)Let us pause here for a heartfelt Oh. My. God.
Let's just dismiss "Mental Ben," since the air has left his balloon, even though the news may not have reached the shortwave radio demographic yet. Apparently, both "Mental Ben" and Rubio benefit from a healthy advantage with (faceplant) "independents," who give both healthy margins over Clinton. But even more surprisingly, Republican Rubio's getting 36 percent of Hispanics and 44 percent of female voters versus Clinton. Think about that. The person who abandoned his bipartisan immigration reform bill and who would represent the party of "ethnic cleansing" mass deportation, oh, and shuttering Planned Parenthood, is running strong among Hispanics and women. Someone please wake these people up.
And that's not all. Here's what dudebro Rubio has to say about same sex marriage:
Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio suggested that the justices he nominates to the Supreme Court may roll back marriage equality, in an interview that aired Sunday. [snip]
Rubio said that "no one should ever be compelled to sin by law" and that a minister should not be compelled to marry a same-sex couple, which is not something that has happened.
"I don't believe any case law is settled law. Any future Supreme Court can change it. And ultimately, I will appoint Supreme Court justices that will interpret the Constitution as originally constructed," Rubio said. (our emphasis)Or, as Bob Schooley aptly tweets:
Marco Rubio is the young, hip candidate that will end marriage equality.
