Gov. Chris "Krispykreme" Christie (Thug- NJ) on Donald "Rump" Trump's plan to bar Muslims from entering the country (12/7/15):
A number of Trump's Republican rivals slammed the proposal for being extreme -- including Christie, who called it "a ridiculous position and one that won't even be productive."
"This is the kind of thing that people say when they have no experience and don't know what they're talking about," the governor said during a radio interview. (our emphasis)Donald "Rump" Trump responded by citing Krispykreme's role in "Bridgegate" and his stewardship of New Jersey (12/7/15):
"He knew about it," Trump added. "He totally knew about it. He's got a very friendly group of people over there." [snip]
But Trump wasn't done. He then attacked the nine credit downgrades under Christie and the fact that New Jersey consistently ranks as having among the highest property taxes in the nation.
"Nine downgrades," Trump said. "It's a disaster. I have property over there. The taxes are through -- I'll use an expression: coming out of my ears. Tremendous taxes over there." (our emphasis)Gov. Chris "Krispykreme" Christie on Sen. "Tailgunner Ted" Cruz (R-Alberta) vote on intelligence gathering and his "tough guy" language (12/7/2015):
I asked him about Sen. Ted Cruz’s comments on Mike Gallagher’s radio show that his vote on the Patriot Act actually strengthened our intelligence gathering. In his strongest language to date, Christie slammed his opponent. “He’s delusional, Senator Cruz,” Christie told me. “He took what he thought a politically advantageous position, never thinking it would catch up with him. But it caught up with him.” Later in the interview, he reaffirmed, “Those comments are absurd on their face.” (At the time Cruz and the American Civil Liberties Union, as well as liberals such as Sen. Patrick J. Leahy (D-Vt.) were in fact seeking to curtail metadata gathering.)
Christie mocked Cruz’s tough language on fighting the Islamic State (make the sand “glow”) as “eighth grade talk.” (our emphasis)Sen. "Tailgunner Ted" Cruz on Sen. Marco "Glug Glug" Rubio's "neo- conservatism" (12/15):
"Senator Rubio emphatically supported Hillary Clinton in toppling (Muammar) Qaddafi in Libya. I think that made no sense," Cruz said in an interview with Bloomberg Politics, connecting Rubio to the Democratic frontrunner. [Ed. note: Ouch!] (our emphasis)Sen. Marco "Glug Glug" Rubio on "Tailgunner Ted"'s stand on intelligence gathering (12/1/15):
"I stand strongly on behalf of the ability of this government to gather intelligence on our adversaries and our enemies, especially terrorists, but also other nation states. Those keep us safer," Rubio said on Fox News Tuesday. "There are Republicans, including Senator Cruz, that have voted to weaken those programs. That is just part of the record, it is nothing personal." [Ed. note: Come on, Glug Glug, don't be wussy... get personal!] (our emphasis)To say we look forward to future postings on this subject would be an understatement.
