The ramifications are absolutely huge:
Associate Justice Antonin Scalia was found dead of apparent natural causes Saturday on a luxury resort in West Texas, federal officials said.
Scalia, 79, was a guest at the Cibolo Creek Ranch, a resort in the Big Bend region south of Marfa.
According to a report, Scalia arrived at the ranch on Friday and attended a private party with about 40 people. When he did not appear for breakfast, a person associated with the ranch went to his room and found a body.Think of every terrible decision over the last 25 years that Scalia had his prints on that now, maybe, we can get overturned sooner rather than later, if we take back the Senate and hold the White House. And for cases this term?
This SCOTUS term was already a blockbuster. Cases on immigration, voting rights, unions, & much more. Now Rs no longer have a majority...WOW— Stephen Wolf (@PoliticsWolf) February 13, 2016
Rather than speak ill of the dead, we'll leave it at that for now.
There's this, too, of course:
The people who are about to block the President from appointing a new SCOTUS judge remind you not to politicize the death of Scalia.— John Fugelsang (@JohnFugelsang) February 13, 2016
