The Con Continues, Media-Assisted

There were reports yesterday that a senior official with the campaign of neo-fascist narcissist Donald "Rump" Trump approached the Republican National Committee to assure them that Rump's angry white bigot persona was going to change in order to con the general electorate in November.  The Rump official, Paul Manafort, a former business partner of fellow ratf*cker Roger Stone, told the Rethuglican officials, according to an audio tape:
"The part that he’s been playing is now evolving into the part that you’ve been expecting. The negatives will come down, the image is going to change."
That surely put a smile on the faces of some unsettled Rethug party officials, who have practiced the big "move to the middle" con for the general election time and again, and which is why their rabid right-wing base despises them.  We'll see if Rump implements the strategy, and if his mouthbreathing followers revolt as a result.

The con is also what the broken, Republican-wired media eats up, witness their swooning over Rump's "Presidential" persona after the New York primary, which turned out to have a shelf life of a few hours. Along with the Rethug establishment, they'd love a close race in the fall, not only to boost ratings, but because they've loathed Secretary Clinton for years and want to take her down.

BONUS IIAs BooMan says:
Let's try not to forget how this campaign began. It began with widespread boycotts of Trump and Trump's businesses because his campaign announcement had been so racist against Mexicans.
We've gone from that to the media applauding him for "presenting a more businesslike and presidential “persona.”"

That's amnesia, right there, and widespread media-assisted amnesia is Trump's best hope for November.
