Gold Star Quote of the Day

"We are all Gold Star Families, who have lost those we love the most in war. Ours is a sacrifice you will never know. Ours is a sacrifice we would never want you to know.Your recent comments regarding the Khan family were repugnant, and personally offensive to us. When you question a mother's pain, by implying that her religion, not her grief, kept her from addressing an arena of people, you are attacking us. When you say your job building buildings is akin to our sacrifice, you are attacking our sacrifice.  You are not just attacking us, you are cheapening the sacrifice made by those we lost. You are minimizing the risk our service members make for all of us." (emphasis added)-- excerpted from a letter from 17 Gold Star Families to soulless neo-fascist demagogue Donald "Rump" Trump. The letter goes on to demand an apology to Gold Star Families for his comments, which we know they'll never get from the sociopathic Rethuglican nominee.

Perhaps Rump will be comforted in knowing he has one like-minded ally: ISIS has condemned the Khans , along with the service of their "apostate" son Army Capt. Humayun Khan. Feel better now, Rump?

BONUS:  Republican Sen. John McCain issued a statement denouncing Rump's efforts to defame the Khans.  Unlike the statements by moral cowards Sen. Mitch "Missy" McConnell and Rep. Paul "Lyin'" Ryan, he called out Rump by name ... but didn't withdraw his endorsement.  Sad!

BONUS II:  The Veterans of Foreign Wars issued a statement not mentioning Rump but criticizing attacks on Gold Star families.  Let us help you out:  Donald. Trump.

BONUS III:  Meanwhile, some of the lowest life forms on the planet (i.e., Stormtrumpers) are pushing hurtful crackpot conspiracy theories about the Gold Star Khan family.

remember Romney saying his sons did their "service" to the country by helping out with his campaign and therefore would not have to join any fighting force for Iraq?

There is a pattern here, isn't there?!
