Weekend Music Twofer

At the very end of 1991, UK alt rock group Lush released "For Love," from their album "Spooky." The song became the band's first top 40 single in the UK. At the time of the album's release, Lush was one of the first British bands whose music was tagged as "dream pop" (or "shoegazing") by the British media. Hope you enjoy the "lush" guitar and vocals (h/t San Francisco Bureau Chief Shauna):

Happy belated 72nd birthday to Chris Hillman, original member of The Byrds and The Flying Burrito Brothers, among other musical milestones.  Nearly fifty years ago, The Byrds released "Younger Than Yesterday," an album many critics believe is one of the band's best, and which also marked the appearance of Hillman as a songwriter and vocalist (he wrote or co- wrote five of the album's 11 songs).  We're reprising "Have You Seen Her Face," a Hillman song that's one of our favorite lesser- known Byrds releases.
