Neo-fascist demagogue Donald "Rump" Trump attacked Meryl Streep for her remarks (see post below) at last night's Golden Globe awards, where she recalled his televised mocking of a disabled reporter from the New York Times. Apparently this pathological liar, who will assume the Presidency just days from now, is unaware of the newfangled technology of videotape, and lied about the incident in an interview with the New York Times:
"I was never mocking anyone,” Mr. Trump said. “I was calling into question a reporter who had gotten nervous because he had changed his story,” arguing that the reporter had been trying to back away from an article he wrote in September 2001 about the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and elsewhere that month.Of course, he did more than intend to mock, he did mock him, by flailing his arms around in a derisive imitation of the reporter's chronic disability (arthrogryposis). Exhibit A:
“People keep saying I intended to mock the reporter’s disability, as if Meryl Streep and others could read my mind, and I did no such thing,” (emphasis added)
So do you believe him, or your lying eyes and ears?
BONUS: Raw Story has collected some Twitter reactions to the pathological liar's claims of innocence.
