Survey: Obama Among Our Greatest Presidents
Nearly 100 presidential scholars and historians have ranked former President Barack Obama as the 12th greatest President out of 44. The rankings were based on 10 different criteria relating to the job, including economic management, crisis leadership, public persuasion, and moral authority. The top five rankings were Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Franklin Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt and Dwight Eisenhower. Obama's placement at number 12 is remarkable, given he has been out of office just one month. Given his high approval ratings at the end of his term, he may rise higher as surveys are taken in the future.
While an amoral, vicious and corrupt Republican-led Congress and Executive Branch try to systematically dismantle his achievements, Obama's legacy will be remembered and honored by future generations of scholars and historians, as well as "we the people."
