That's a screenshot of Republican former judge Tim Nolan of Campbell County, KY, who has been indicted on 1) felony human trafficking of a minor, 2) felony inducing a minor to engage in sex and 3) a third count of giving alcohol to a minor. In other words, a thoroughly respectable Republican.
But that's only a crime trifecta. There's a wingnut trifecta Nolan managed to accomplish as well.
As we read the article, bells kept going off.
Bell one:
News anchor Cammy Dierking of WKRC described Judge Nolan as an, “outspoken supporter of the local Tea Party.”Bell two:
... The sex trafficking allegedly occurred in August 2016 — while Judge Nolan was serving as the chair of the Donald Trump campaign in Campbell County, KY.
Bell three:
... Nolan was appointed by Governor Matt Bevin to the Kentucky Boxing and Wrestling Commission, but was removed only days later when a scandal erupted over a Ku Klux Klan photo posted to Nolan’s Facebook.
Unlike Republican Governor Bevin, the Trump Campaign chose not to drop Judge Nolan after the KKK scandal.Tea Party, Trump and the KKK! A wingnut trifecta! (At the time of his arrest, Nolan was serving as a school board member in Campbell County, but we're not even including positions such as opposing using local property tax revenue for schools and supporting school vouchers -- rather prosaic Republican pathologies.)
Maybe the judge's defense will include extreme "economic anxiety" as a cause of his aberrant criminal behavior because Party of Personal Responsibility!
