Sally Yates Testifying Today (UPDATED)

Today we may begin to get a clearer picture of the Trump- Russia connections the regime of neo-fascist Putin poodle Donald "Rump" Trump has been so desperate to cover up. That's because former acting Attorney General Sally Yates will be testifying in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee's subcommittee on crime and terrorism.

Specifically, Yates will be testifying about the conversations she had with White (Supremacist) House officials about the activities of and conversations between then- National Security Advisor Michael Flynn and the Russian Ambassador to the U.S. (and top spy recruiter) Sergey Kislyak. Expect Republicans on the subcommittee to echo Rump regime efforts to deflect the inquiry away from Flynn and his Russian contacts, or attempt to smear Yates (as the Rump regime is already doing):
Trump and congressional Republicans have repeatedly sought to shift the focus of hearings about Russian election year meddling to questions about who in the U.S. government may have leaked details about the FBI’s probe into possible coordination between Trump associates and Russian officials.
People familiar with the matter say both statements understate the seriousness of what Yates told [White House Counsel Donald] McGahn and that she went to the White House to warn that Flynn could be compromised — or blackmailed — by the Russians at some point if they threatened to reveal the true nature of his conversations with the ambassador.
Former National Intelligence Director James Clapper, Jr., is also scheduled to testify today.

Since there's an ongoing FBI investigation and many details remain classified information, the main point of Yates' testimony today will be to sharpen focus on the role of people like White (Supremacist) House Counsel McGahn in keeping Flynn in his highly sensitive position weeks after being informed by Yates of Flynn's compromising links with Russian operatives. It's the first building block of the inquiry that has the potential for flipping Flynn and others from the Rump campaign with ties to Russia. But, barring bombshells in the upcoming House and Senate hearings (or leaks from the intelligence community or IRS), we're still far from reaching the end of the money and influence trail.

We're confident that trail, at the risk of getting ahead of ourselves, leads directly into the accounts of the various Rump businesses and onto the pee- soaked bed of a Moscow hotel.

UPDATE:  Well, look who's trying to undercut the testimony already (wonder why??):

UPDATE II:  Is Rump's tweet threatening a witness?
