The Good, The Bad And The Ugly

The Good:
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) will step down from Congress later this year, Politico reported Thursday. Chaffetz, whose term was set to last until 2019, confirmed the news in a letter to constituents, saying his last day will be June 30.
One of the worst villains in modern politics is leaving -- for now.  The less we see of him in the future, the better.

The Bad:
Joe Lieberman, the former Democratic senator from Connecticut with a complicated history with his political party, has emerged as the frontrunner to replace the now-fired James Comey as FBI director... [snip]
Since leaving the Senate, Lieberman has landed as an attorney as Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP, whose founding partner Marc Kasowitz happens to be Donald Trump’s lawyer on litigation matters. [snip]
Lieberman has never worked for the FBI, has never been a federal judge or a federal prosecutor, and has never worked for the Department of Justice. He has no history at all with federal law enforcement. Appointing him would be an enormous break with tradition. (our emphasis)
It would also be a break with common sense and ethics, which means it's probably a "go" for deranged dumbass Donald "Rump" Trump. The smarmy Lieberliar, who was one of the "Three Amigos" along with Republican Sens. John "Walnuts" McCain and Lindsey "Huckleberry" Graham when he was in the Senate, was a pro- Iraq War hawk and killer of Medicare expansion (simply, it's said, to piss off liberals), adding to his disqualifications.

The Ugly:
Former U.S. Congressman Anthony Weiner was expected to plead guilty in federal court in New York on Friday, months after U.S. prosecutors opened an investigation into his alleged “sexting” with a 15-year-old girl that eventually played a role in the U.S. presidential election.
Here's another one that qualifies as "the less we see of him in the future, the better."
