When Rethugs Hide, Make Them Pay

If you happened to watch Rachel Maddow last night, you saw charismatic New York Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY) come up with an ingenious way to make Rethuglican congresscritters face their constituents over their abominable vote to deny health care for millions:
“Maybe a Democrat ought to go into every district where a Republican who supported TrumpCare won’t hold a town hall meeting, and do it for them. I think every Republican who voted for this thing ought to have to stand in front of their voters and explain it.”
Maloney's already offered to speak at town hall meetings of his neighboring Rethuglican Congressman, cowardly John Faso, who had promised a woman on Medicaid suffering from a brain tumor that she wouldn't lose her insurance. He lied, of course, when he voted to cut $880 billion from Medicaid and make pre-existing condition coverage up to the states. He isn't answering constituents' phone calls asking for an explanation, according to Maloney, who has been getting calls from Faso's constituents.

Every one of those skunks that voted to strip health insurance from their constituents in order to reward the top 2% income earners in their districts with tax cuts need to be called out in public, and maybe smart Dems like Rep. Maloney can make that happen.

I saw this last night and think it is a great idea. I'm intrested to see if any other congress members have the balls to do it.

Jerry -- It would be a "twofer": Dems get their chance to explain the damage TrumpCare will do, and Rethugs look like they're hiding from their constituents. We hope Dems grow a pair, too, and follow Maloney's lead.
