Unpardonable Act

The White (Supremacist) House just announced that narcissistic bigot Donald "Rump" Trump has pardoned Court-defying sheriff and bigot Joe Arpaio, formerly the sheriff of Arizona's Maricopa County. The pardon was widely anticipated after Rump all but confirmed it at his hate speech rally in Phoenix on Tuesday. Arpaio's virulent anti-immigration positions mirrored Rump's. He vigorously supported Rump in 2016, and was a prominent racist birther.

Arpaio lost reelection in 2016 following his conviction on defying a court order to cease racial profiling of Latinos in his jurisdiction. He rose to national attention for his practice of making the inmates of his county jail wear pink underway as a form of humiliation and punishment, and housing them outdoors in tents in the blistering Arizona heat.

BONUS: AZ Senator John McCain, who has clashed with Rump, issued a statement saying that Rump's pardon "undermines his claim for the respect of the rule of law..."

BONUS II: The Arizona Republic, the state's largest newspaper, blisters Rump's pardon of bigot Arpaio: it reaffirms Rump's inclination toward "institutional racism."
