Snowflake Pence Runs From Kneeling Players (UPDATED)

Vice President, and Talibangelist towel boy for bigot Donald "Rump" Trump, Mike "Dense" Pence walked out of the Indianapolis Colts / San Francisco 49ers game today after a number of players knelt during the national anthem. Like his boss, Dense is trying to portray the peaceful protests against police brutality against African-Americans and the criminal justice system as an attack on the flag and on the military:
Dense, who never served a second in the U.S. armed forces, is literally standing with someone who, after avoiding military service during the Vietnam war, disparaged the service of former prisoner of war Sen. John McCain and the Gold Star family of Army Capt. Humayun Khan. Khan was killed in combat in Iraq in 2004 and posthumously received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Dense's ugly sanctimony and hypocrisy is rampant in the fever swamps of the far-right.

After his stunt, Dense was reamed on Twitter:

UPDATE:  Of course, it was a premeditated stunt, "ordered" by Rump.

UPDATE IIThe stunt didn't come cheap.

UPDATE III:  The NFL Players Association reminds everyone that players are peacefully raising awareness "to issues that deserve attention" and should not be stifled in exercising their Constitutional rights. But, of course, that's not what Dense and Rump are trying to stir up here.

UPDATE IV:   Andy Borowitz' headline -- "Poll: Americans Hope Trump Follows Pence’s Example and Leaves Early."  Score!
