Trick question! The answer is "both."
Kelly was never who people thought he was, so joining the trump admin was not a step down for him. He was always a true believer, kool-aid swilling scumbag.
ReplyDeleteHis brief, draconian stint at Homeland Security should have woken people to the fact that he was a zealous supporter of Trump's agenda. The peculiar - to say the least - views on service and civilian/ military relations he expressed during his defense of Trump's call to the Gold Star mother made it clear he's not someone likely to curb Trump's authoritarian style. He may turn out to be Trump without the baggage.
