Weekend Future Song

At Wednesday night's Country Music Awards, co- host superstars Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood bantered and sang a little ditty poking fun at the Giant Toddler and his Twitter habit.  Paisley and Underwood are among the best socially conscious people on the country music scene. In particular, we thought of this remarkable 2009 performance at the White House by Paisley, when he sang "Welcome to the Future" to President Obama and the First Lady. If you don't get a little lump in your throat watching this, you might want to see a doctor.  Anyway, let's think of it as a reminder that, regardless of the past or our present situation, there is a future that can be quite different (plus, it's a damn good song).  We just need to work hard for it every day.
