Another Clown Leaves The Circus (UPDATED)

Hope Hicks, the White House communications director and one of President Trump’s longest-serving advisers, said Wednesday that she plans to leave the White House in the coming weeks.
Ms. Hicks, 29, a former model who joined Mr. Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign without any experience in politics, became known as one of the few aides who understood his personality and style and could challenge the president to change his views. [snip]
Her resignation came a day after she testified for eight hours before the House Intelligence Committee, telling the panel that in her job, she had occasionally been required to tell white lies but had never lied about anything connected to the investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.
Despite her assertion that none of her "white lies" were associated with the Russia investigation, Hicks was involved with Rump in drafting the statement misrepresenting the meeting in June 2016 that grease stain Donald Trump, Jr., had at Trump Tower with Russians.  A conspiracy to obstruct justice isn't considered a "white lie." Someone may want to tell Hicks that (or perhaps they did, which might explain the abrupt timing of her departure).

UPDATE: Steve M. at No More Mister Nice Blog has more detail and background on what might have precipitated Hicks' departure.

No Hope for the Trump White House...boo hoo! Another Trump pick who had no experience and was underwater before she even got there.

Now if he can get rid of big spender Ben Carson!

What a collection of incompetents, misfits, crooks, etc., eh donnah?! When they write the book on this regime, future generations won't believe it - they'll think it was made up. If only that was true.

What terrifies me is the damage being done by Congress while we're distracted by all this crap. They are back in session and they have agendas we don't know about until they're being signed.

The Trump administration, the grift that keeps on grifting.

Congress will never pass any meaningful gun control laws and Trump knows this. That's why he bullshits like he did yesterday, with Dems who attended applauding and agreeing like trained seals. He'll change his tune today after the NRA goes ballistic on him.

Diva - people only have to remember his posturing around DACA, how he claimed he wanted a bipartisan bill, then ran for the bushes and stonewalled when things got serious. He's proven he'll say anything to make himself look reasonable in front of the cameras but he'll do the same thing here.

I took particular note of Sen. Feinstein having a jolly old time sitting next to Cadet Bone Spurs. She's overstayed her time, unfortunately.
