Israelis Not Believing Bibi

In the wake of yesterday's announcement by Israeli police that they have sufficient evidence for Israel's right-wing Prime Minister and Trump pal Benjamin "Bibi Bomb Bomb" Netanyahu to be charged with bribery, the Israeli public seems to be believing the police, rather than Netanyahu. The poll appeared on the TV station Reshet and indicated that 49% believe the police version that he was involved in bribery, versus 25% that believe the Prime Minister. The rest are undecided.

One bribery charge involves Netanyahu receiving expensive gifts from wealthy businessmen in exchange for political favors, while the other bribery charge alleges that in exchange for favorable treatment in one newspaper, he penalized a rival paper's distribution process. Netanyahu has responded to the police action by harshly criticizing the police investigation, an echo of his good friend demagogue Donald "Rump" Trump's attack on Federal law enforcement.
