Off Brand At Justice

Associate Attorney General Rachel Brand has announced her departure from the Justice Department, a move that could open up the number three position to a member of sociopathic Putin stooge Donald "Rump" Trump's cult. Brand is next in line to Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein, who has been under intense fire from Rump for not actively obstructing the Mueller investigation. Should Rump fire Rosenstein, Brand would have been next in line to feel Rump's pressure to "be loyal" and fire Mueller. The Associate Attorney General position is subject to Senate confirmation, but could be filled by recess appointment. Rump will certainly be looking for a loyal lackey to nominate.

Brand had been seen as a rising right-wing star, having served in previous Rethuglican administrations and who was part of the legal team representing George "Dumbya" Bush in the 2000 election recount farce. By taking a senior position at Walmart, Brand escaped the choice of bowing to an unfit, reckless and criminal executive or saying "no" to him. Not a profile in courage.

"Dumbya" is looking less and less dumb since January 2017.

AZ Bureau Chief -- Compared to Trump and his Trumpian Republican Party, yes. Their downward spiral continues.
