Only The Best! Cont'd.

The expensive dud that was master grifter and unindicted co-conspirator Donald "Rump" Trump's inauguration is getting more well-deserved attention. His inaugural committee raised some $107 million for festivities that were decidedly C-list compared to previous inaugurations. Tax filings are indicating that a company owned by one of Melania Trump's closest friends, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, received $25.8 million for event production services. Wolkoff reportedly received $1.62 million for her "services" alone. In contrast, out of the total raised, the inaugural committee has donated only $5 million to charity so far, much less that expected.

What makes matters more intriguing is that Wolkoff is currently serving as a "contracted volunteer" to Melania Trump, with a Government-issued phone and computer, along with free access to the White House's West Wing. The event planner's "job" is apparently to consult with the First Second Third Lady on her "initiatives."  Wolkoff's access and perks have created some hostility among West Wing staff, who see the New York socialite's access to Melania Trump as inappropriate, especially given the size of her company's grift from the inauguration. It's all become par for the course, hasn't it?

BONUS:  In more Melania news, the most recent bimbo eruption may be causing her to, yet again, shun the company of her unfaithful, predatory husband. This isn't a real presidency; it's a really bad t.v. reality show.

Let's be honest: Trump, his family, his cronies and associates are in this presidency to make money. Sure, there's some perks like pomp and parades, but the bottom line is how much dough can they rake in, either by ignoring emolument clauses, taking donations meant for others, (like charities) and selling off whatever they can get their hands on, like national park land. They have opportunities galore to promote their real estate holdings and with generous tax breaks, and they can maximize profits.

The Republicans are aiding and abetting because they get to smash the programs that help the poor.

It's win/win!

donnah -- It's a smash and grab robbery, and we, the taxpayers, own the store.
