Schools should be places where children can learn, and faculty and staff can work, without fear of violence. My colleagues from Florida will carry home the prayers of the whole Senate, for victims and their families, for the community of Parkland, and for the first responders.— Leader McConnell (@SenateMajLdr) February 15, 2018
This person waved a musket over his head at an NRA convention in 2014. He has a 93 percent rating with the NRA and does not support the bare minimum of gun reform that would protect children. But he has thoughts and prayers to offer. https://t.co/bVDP5d7z9Z— Joy Reid (@JoyAnnReid) February 15, 2018

What worries me most right now? The up coimg elections. The fact that the gop has the fix in. Not only is our Traitor in Chief complacent about not pursuing the Russia/hacking probe, like his fellow gopers, don't want to mention the "G" word when this happens.
ReplyDeleteI would love for Trump to pay that community a visit without his minions screening the crowd. Imagine the bushels of rotten tomatoes that would be hurled at that empty-headed, soulless bastard.
ReplyDeleteF.M. and donnah -- We'd give almost anything for him to be directly exposed to the anger of the Parkland community, but that won't happen. Maybe this will fade like the other atrocities, but we think there may be some staying power to this that will reverberate in the elections.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading that at more than one place. Because there are fresh survivors who use social media every minute of the day, the pushback is very strong. Teenagers are angry and frightened and they are not going to stand still for the status quo that Trump and the Republican party are pushing.
ReplyDeleteWe have to back them up.
Also, isn't it great to see McConnell with the weapon he first used in the War Between the States? It seems relevant somehow.
