Pettiness And Patriotism

After the briefest acknowledgement on Twitter of Sen. John McCain's passing on Saturday, which didn't reference McCain directly, sociopath and corrupt demagogue Donald "Rump" Trump ordered the flag over the White (Supremacist) House raised to full-staff after only one day of flying at half-staff. There are reports that Rump was urged by his staff and purportedly his wife "Melanie" to issue a more generous statement about McCain's legacy, but he refused. Rump's petty and vindictive move, while not surprising, is a measure of the resentment he feels toward men (and women) that he knows are better than him. He is a stain on the Presidency and on the United States, which McCain, however imperfectly, devoted his life to serving.

BONUS:  Here's how the petty, vain narcissist posted his tweet on Instagram -- with a pic of himself:

Trump and his followers represent the least among us. They are the least kind, the least thoughtful, the least compassionate. They have no class, no respect, and no empathy.

Trump's standard hearts and prayers tweet replaced a more gracious statement composed by staffers, which he refused to post. The flag over the White House was another snub against the man who denied a vote for removing health care for millions. Trump resents the attention and respect being paid to McCain for service he, the president, could never earn.

With regard to decency, service, and respect, Trump remains ignorant and willfully opposed.
