The Far Right And Firestorms

We're seeing an example of the real life consequences of hateful conspiracy theories being peddled by the likes of Alex Jones and anonymous wingnuts on the web. Yesterday, Forrest Clark was charged with felony arson and felony threatening to terrorize in setting the Holy Fire in Orange County, California. Clark, who has a history of mental instability, was an avid consumer of all of the crackpot conspiracies on the far right, including QAnon's unhinged theories of the "deep state" and America's "savior," con man and sociopath Donald "Rump" Trump. Some 19,000 acres have already burned, as firefighters risk their lives to contain the blaze.

Tomorrow in Washington, DC another manifestation of the lunacy and evil of the far right will occur, with several hundred neo-Nazis, KKK and other white supremacists stage a rally across from the White (Supremacist) House. More about that later.

Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind, as the saying goes. The Almighty Trump has sown dischord and spread hate across the country and now more and more disturbed people feel more free to voice their opinions, and what's worse, act on them. Shootings, riots, and now starting fires as acts of rebellion against those they feel have wronged them and the country.

Trump did this, as surely he struck a match and tossed it into the brush. He's burning down democracy.

donnah -- The delicious irony is that his MAGA cult will be suffering the most as a result of his hateful actions and stupidity. When they're not burning down their own houses, they're willing to suffer his tariffs, despite going bankrupt as a result. In the end, they'll always blame the wrong people.
