I'd bet if you asked Average Joe American, they wouldn't even know that Puerto Rico is an American territory. Because it's not formally a state, most Americans wouldn't expect to have sent aid and therefore those terrible deaths and losses of property mean little to them.
But in all honestly, I've read about the lingering mess from the Houston storm damage and believe that those people have not received adequate help in rebuilding and recovering from that disaster. Let's face it, this administration is useless, ignorant, and irresponsible. If every corporation who benefitted from those giant tax cuts would donate a few million dollars for a rebuild fund, the problems could be solved. I know, what a socialist! But clearly our president and his clan couldn't care less about those who live in our country or even those who live under our domain.
And for that he should be ashamed.
"And for that he should be ashamed."
Ha. Ha. Do you actually expect Trump to feel shame?
Do you actually expect any Republican to feel shame?
They all deserve long prison terms.
donnah - "useless, ignorant, and irresponsible" -- you said it all right there!
Eric - they should feel shame, but there's absolutely no expectation on our part or donnah's that they will. Prison in Puerto Rico would be a fitting "reward" !
