Kavanaugh Fumbles On Key Mueller Question

Trump's man for the Supreme Court had a homina homina moment yesterday thanks to Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), who pointedly asked him whether he'd had any conversations about Robert Mueller's investigation with anyone at the law firm of Kasowitz, Benson and Torres, the law firm of unindicted co-conspirator Donald "Rump" Trump's lawyer Marc Kasowitz. Kavanaugh played dumb, stumbled, and asked Harris if she had a specific name, but Harris wouldn't relent. It's clear from his reaction that he did have such a conversation but didn't want to perjure himself by lying about it.
Well done, Sen. Harris.

BONUS: The exchange with Sen. Harris is only part of Kavanaugh's evasiveness regarding Rump and his legal liability. He repeatedly dodged or refused to answer questions concerning Presidential powers of pardon, and whether a sitting President can be indicted and/or subpoenaed. His prior writings on the subject suggesting broad Presidential powers were clearly what appealed to the corrupt Rump.

I'm proud of the Democrats like Harris and Booker who are going after Kavanaugh hammer and tongs. Grassley needs to shut his corn-shuckin' mouth and let the questioners do their job. I don't know how far this will all go, but I hope the Dems can keep applying the pressure until Kavanaugh cracks.

I can't remember any term with more chaos and so many different explosive events at one time. I hardly remember Watergate, so I don't know how this compares, but it is a bloody mess.

Agree. That's exactly how the Dems should be acting and it's about time! We should be sick and tired of rolling over. Fight back! Get the Party energized!

donnah -- Yes, it's about time and it's the right venue to tear into them.

Diva -- Yes.

P.E.C. -- She is that. She's a fighter and smart as a whip.
