Sexual assault survivors confront predictably spineless, worthless, waste of space Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Invertebrate) after he announces he's voting to send the nomination of Brett "KavaNut" Kavanaugh to the Senate floor:
What an appropriately disgraceful legacy this pious fraud will leave in his ephemeral wake.
Fellow spineless weasel Sen. "Li'l Bob" Corker (R- Invertebrate), who like Flake is retiring and thus never has to face his party's frothing- at- the- mouth base, has also indicated he will vote to confirm KavaNut. That's two gutless weasels down, with Sens. Collins and Murkowski to go. Are you expecting profiles in courage from them?

UPDATE: Flake has a wrinkle: he's voted yes to advance KavaNut out of committee, but will "ask" for a one- week delay to allow for an FBI investigation before voting in the full Senate. Those women who accosted him at the elevator may (may) have lit a tiny ember of a conscience in him.

Diva -- there's a circle in hell reserved for moral cowards like Flake. I don't know how he could look those daughters or his wife in the eye (maybe he averts his gaze like he did with the women at the elevator). Scumbag.
We have to understand this simple truth: These Republican Senators are pre-programmed to see anything presented by Democrats as lies and schemes. Period. They distance themselves from truth, like science, math, physical evidence of global warming, every single cause we believe in, because they want the world to be their vision, warped religion and dollar-based.
Dr Ford is a plant, the students and friends and fellow party-goers are fakes, the frat bros can't remember anything and they've all been paid to lie. When you come to a “trial” with preconceived thoughts like this, it's easy to deny, dismiss, insult and smear any testimony made.
Flake, McConnell and Graham could all have daughters (well, maybe not Graham) and see no connection to how they would feel under Dr Ford's circumstances because they are also privileged white men and they believe their daughters will always be safe and protected from the evils of the world by their giant umbrella of security and position. They have no clue what really goes on in the real world, and they only care about one thing: moving forward their Republican agenda.
So while I'm grateful for a week's worth of investigation, I am doubtful that anything will change. The fix is in and the deal is made. I hope I'm wrong.
