Buh Bye For Megyn Kelly? (UPDATED)

The UK tabloid Daily Mail is reporting that multiple sources have confirmed that former Fux Channel personality Megyn "Blackface" Kelly will be terminated by NBC. Kelly infamously defended the racist practice of "blackface" makeup on her program on Tuesday, not sensitive to its racist, minstrel show history. Although she issued apologies after intense criticism from her colleagues and viewers, her show was pulled off the air this morning and tomorrow. This might be a "one off" if it weren't for Kelly's earlier comments about race that were offensive. NBC colleagues will reportedly be happy to see her exit.

Kelly is in the middle of a 3-year $69 million contract, and has reportedly engaged a law firm familiar with employment termination issues. Depending on termination clauses in her contract, this could cost NBC significantly, on top of the fact that Kelly's weekly 9 a.m. show was not pulling in ratings like her predecessors Tamron Hall and Al Roker. Is it too late to bring Tamron back?
