Mid-Week Remembrance Songs

We lost two iconic musical artists last week: Jefferson Airplane / Jefferson Starship singer and composer Marty Balin (76), and legendary Chicago blues guitarist Otis Rush (84). Balin was an original member of the San Francisco band that led the San Francisco psychedelic sound of the '60s. Rush was the inspiration for blues singers and guitarists that followed him, including Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray Vaughn and many more. Two unique talents. RIP.

  1. Two more reminders that the music of our youth was memorable and that we are losing those who gave it to us. Our music is a connection to our past, and it reminds us of who we were and who we are. I'm always saddened by the loss of these musical masters.
