At a campaign event yesterday in Michigan, Trump's obsequious lackey and moral poseur Mike "Dense" Pence dredged up a "Jews For Jesus" character by the name of "Rabbi" Loren Jacobs to deliver a prayer for the 11 slaughtered innocent congregants at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. Jacobs is part of a messianic cult that, while supposedly Jewish, views Jesus Christ as their savior, thus not Jewish at all:
"Appearing with the vice president on Monday, Jacobs invoked 'Jesus the Messiah' and 'Savior Yeshua' — another name for Jesus — as he offered a prayer for the dead and wounded in Pittsburgh. 'God of Abraham, God of Isaac, God of Jacob, God and Father of my Lord and Savior Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah, and my God and Father, too,' he intoned."Dense Pence, whose lord seems to be the mango-colored shitgibbon he works for, got major blowback for his choice of Jacobs, rather than a legitimate Jewish rabbi:

Normally, a Rabbi would open with Kaddish, a prayer for the dead - and list names of those taken. It is deceptive proselytising that sees Jews as in need of saving, and has Christians playact Jewish ritual.
Inviting one to speak publicly is not OK. Pence must apologize for this, or if he's OK with it, he's unambiguously an antisemite.

Pence again stepped out from behind his boss to make his own play. He steps on the lost lives of the murdered Jews and insults their faith by having a fake rabbi deliver a purely partisan service. He is bolder than ever in his agenda to tout his born-again Christianity over all other faiths, and the Conservative beliefs that go with it.
Pence is dangerous.
donnah -- He reminds us of the "just following orders" Germans during the second world war. He seems to know that what he's doing and who he serves is a corrupt, sick person, but chooses to go along.
I spoke to friends in Indiana recently, and they said his governorship was loaded with the same prejudices against minorities, the poor, non-Christians, women, gays, everyone the Right disapproves of. They were glad to get rid of him, but sorry that he's now inflicting his garbage on the rest of us.
I was totally flabbergasted when I read about this. Pence is either staggeringly ignorant about Judaism (a very real possibility) or staggeringly arrogant in his Christian fundamentalism. But even if he's ignorant, a competent politician would have consulted an adviser who would be able to tell him how real Jews feel about "Messianic Jews". Hell, Jared Kushner probably knows about that.
These people never miss an opportunity to make complete asses of themselves.
Infidel, Pence is not ignorant, he is cruel. He is an arrogant bastard who believes he can turn the country into an all white Christian nation, and he'll push Trump into that as hard as he can.
