Trump exists in his own mind, which is a tiny, dark place. He may feel like he's a golden leader, admired by many, adored by more, and sees himself as a master dealmaker. He is vain and selfish, but he feels he earns his privilege and should be respected. He will not be accused or contradicted or criticized because he is, in his tiny, dark mind, just about perfect.

This past week has been such a massive blow to his reality that he can't take it. He's holed up, tweeting, and refusing to honor the dead, internationally and at home. He's victim-blamed the wildfire families in California and cast aspersions on former allies in France, Germany, and Canada. He's had broken romances with North Korea and Russia and now Melania is tugging on his silk sleeve to complain that someone's being mean to her. And he did not lead Republicans to a glorious victory in the midterms.

So Trump is pissed. The dark shadow of Mueller stands just behind him, and even if he believes he, himself is above the law, he might be a little concerned about Jr and Jared. So these multiple attacks on his world must be shaking him up a bit. And without the fan rallies he had so enjoyed before the election, he has to be feeling a letdown.

I hope he's miserable. I hope he glimpses little bits of the real world outside his tiny dark mind so he can see how much he is despised. And I hope the future holds many more embarrassments and disappointments for him.

donnah - one of our great pleasures is to believe that that shitheel is suffering, feeling morose, threatened, etc. So much of what he visits on others is now being visited upon him, to whatever degree his dark, simple mind can grasp.
