Pecker Packs It In On Playmate Payments

In conjunction with today's sentencing of felonious Trump fixer Michael Cohen, it was announced that a media enabler of sociopath and Individual-1 Donald "Rump" Trump, American Media, Inc.'s National Enquirer admitted that they were complicit in Cohen and Rump's campaign fraud concerning payments to a Rump's mistress. However, they are avoiding prosecution by cooperating fully with the U.S. attorneys of the Southern District of New York:
"Federal prosecutors have given immunity to the publisher of the National Enquirer in connection with the $150,000 hush-money payment the supermarket tabloid gave Karen McDougal, the Playboy model who claims she had an affair with President Donald Trump.

That payment to McDougal was made shortly before the 2016 presidential election, and was done "to influence" that election, which sent Trump to the White House, according to the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York."
AMI Chairman David "Little" Pecker is a close friend of Rump's and has helped him spike unfavorable stories over the years in a practice called "catch and kill." This situation was apparently a bridge too far for Little Pecker.

The most important thing to note about this development relates to Rump's claim that the payments weren't campaign-related:
"The company also admitted 'it made the $150,000 payment in concert with' Trump's campaign, according to the SDNY.

'AMI further admitted that its principal purpose in making the payment was to suppress the woman's story so as to prevent it from influencing the election,' prosecutors said.

Former federal prosecutor Mimi Rocah told MSNBC that AMI's admission cripples Trump's ability to claim that the payment to McDougal was not about the election, and thus not subject to federal campaign finance law rules."
(our emphasis)
Rump's legal problems seem to mount each day, and we haven't even gotten to his business dealings and taxes. His family racket is under investigation by the New York State Attorney General, including his "Trump Foundation" self-dealing scam. All involve his corrupt offspring, and since they're potential state charges, a pardon from the White (Supremacist) House won't work. Good times.

BONUS: Speaking of the New York State Attorney General-elect, Letitia James, she'll be the Rump crime family's worst nightmare.
