The Pecker Papers

Felonious con man and Kremlin asset Donald "Rump" Trump has been fiercely attacking his former fixer / lawyer Michael Cohen and his family for cooperating with the Feds over the illegal hush money scandal case that's resulted in 3 years' imprisonment for Cohen. Cohen pleaded guilty to numerous counts of campaign financing violations, lying to investigators and other misdeeds, but another figure in Rump's corrupt world was able to slip by with an agreement not to prosecute from Southern District of New York (SDNY) prosecutors. Tabloid publisher David "Little" Pecker was present in the August 2015 meeting where Cohen and Rump discussed using Pecker's National Enquirer to front for the Rump campaign, including hiding illegal payments by paying for, then killing, a publishing deal with Rump mistress Karen McDougall.

While Rump has raged about his former fixer, he's been strangely silent on Pecker's full cooperation with the Feds. If you wonder why, it's likely because Pecker has a safe full of damaging information about Rump which he's been guarding and probably been well paid to keep hidden. Rump is rightfully wary that Pecker might release additional scandalous information in his possession if Rump attacks him. Perhaps the SDNY already has that information, but Rump doesn't know that for sure and he doesn't want Pecker to release it in retaliation.

If you took all of the scandals of the previous 44 Presidents and stacked them up, they wouldn't approach Rump's scandal stack, and we've yet to see the Pecker Papers, much less hear from State prosecutors in New York and elsewhere who are likely lining up Rump in their sights for everything from tax evasion to fraud. Rump's lifelong free ride of avoiding consequences for his actions is coming to an end.
