QOTD -- When Is An Emergency Not An Emergency?

I could do the wall over a longer period of time. I didn’t need to do this, but I’d rather do it much faster.” --  Very Stable Genius and World's Greatest Negotiator Donald "Rump" Trump at his news conference today declaring a "national emergency" over funding his manhood wall (that Mexico was supposed to pay for), while simultaneously removing the feeble props under his rationale for it being an "emergency."  We're sure Congress and future litigants took note.  Sad!  (our emphasis)

BONUS:  If you didn't, as we didn't, watch the nitwit's rambling, argle bargle announcement, there are some lowlights here and here.

BONUS II:  Yet another Rump tweet that hasn't aged well and will certainly be cited in the near future--

The “speech” was ridiculous, a rambling, contradictory, confused mess. He sounded like an idiot...did you hear that bizarrely childish segment where he was sing-songing the part about legal challenges to his decision? Honestly, based on this speech alone, he could be committed.

What sickens me is that Republican Senators and House members will wring their hands and say they strongly disagree with this move, but they'll all vote with him. They always do. They will trash Congress' power to stay in favor with Trump. And that says as much about them as it does him.

donnah - didn't watch, but saw clips later that showed all of his idiocy, inadequacy and ignorance in an embarrassing tour de fart. You can already see the Republican invertebrates in Congress finding reasons to go along rather than stand up for the country and rule of law.
