The ascendance of the greedy in the past century has pushed Earth to the brink of environmental disaster, with corrupt politicians and industries ignoring clear evidence of man's impact on climate change in the burning of fossil fuels. And that's just one example among many of the rule of greed: insurance profits over health care, gun sales over public safety, and so on.
