From neo-fascist demagogue and pathological liar Donald "Rump" Trump's comment that KKK and Nazi marchers in Charlottesville, VA in 2017 were "very fine people" to disgraced white supremacist agitator Rep. Steve King's racist social messaging, the Rethuglican / New Confederate Party under Rump has a record of racism and xenophobia. Now, they appear to be emboldened by the still-unverified "Barr Report", which purports to "summarize" the principal conclusions of the Mueller investigation. Now, Rethugs are quoting Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini in their attacks against Dems.
Far-right white nationalist Rep. Mo "No Mo" Brooks (R-Alabammy) was on the House floor using an expression popularized by the Nazis:
"Brooks, a five-term Republican, accused Democrats and members of the media of propagating a 'big lie' about collusion. The expression was coined by Hitler to describe how Jews used their “unqualified capacity for falsehood” to blame a top German military commander for the country’s losses in World War I. A lie could be so big, Hitler claimed, that it perversely defied disbelief.
It was unclear if Brooks grasped that by leveling charges of the “big lie,” he had inverted his own analogy, making Democrats the equivalent of interwar German and Austrian Jews. He set out to compare the other side to fascists, but he was the one employing a fascist smear — one that, ironically, came to define Nazi propaganda." (our emphasis)In a classic case both projection and deflection, "No Mo" even implied that the Nazis were "socialists," despite the historical record that the Nazis murdered socialists, Social Democrats, and Communists during the 1930s. The latest Rethug strategy is to use the term "socialist" as a fear tactic to gin up their ignorant and fearful base, not expecting it will backfire once their people realize that Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are fundamentally democratic socialist programs.
The Rethugs will never deal honestly with who they are, and will lie / project / divert to change the subject and move the spotlight from their corrupt and bigoted essence. It's in their DNA.

And now, they're supporting abolition of the whole ACA via the Supremes. Not sure if that will work since it would require John Roberts to overturn a John Roberts precedent but, since the GOP is not the only the New Confederate Party but also the New Sadism Party.
Jimbo -- Their bottomless cruelty and selfishness are ruining this country. The Federal courts are vitally important to stopping them, which makes 2020 so critical.
They will stop at nothing to destroy the lives of millions, overturning health care provisions that had already made lives better.
They have shown their own terrible selves again and again and now we need to buckle the fuck down, get our candidates lined up, vetted, and ready to go. In 2020, we burn the GOP to the ground. No mercy, no excuses.
donnah -- As Speaker Pelosi pointed out today, every Rethuglican running in 2018 promised to preserve popular features of the ACA (pre-existing conditions coverage, etc.). They lied. They won't lift a finger to stop Trump's end run to the Court.
