Barr's Disgraceful Senate Performance

We've watched a good amount of Trump defense attorney and arrogant shill William "Low" Barr's testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, and it's very much like we expected: devious, dishonest, smirking, and arrogant, lying when he described what the Mueller report actually says, and using questionable legal arguments to defend Trump. More than ever before, he comes off as a pure Trumpist shield, not caring about his reputation -- that was lost some time ago -- or the way history will treat him (think of Nixon's Attorney General John Mitchell, who displayed the same arrogance in his day).

Emptywheel's Marcy Wheeler has a nice thread following along with the hearing. You can watch live updates of the hearing here, but given that Rethugs control the majority under Trump flunky Sen. Lindsey "Huckleberry" Graham, don't expect anything in the way of bipartisan outrage. If he's forced to testify before Chairman Jerry Nadler's House Judiciary Committee tomorrow under subpoena, that's when the sparks should fly.
