India Goes Extra Mile(s) For Voters

The Rethuglican / New Confederate / Kids-In-Cages Party has gone to extraordinary lengths over the years to suppress votes from constituencies that favor Dems. From bogus voter ID laws which discriminate against low income voters and those of color, to reducing the number of polling stations in minority districts to ensure long lines at best, Rethugs are fearful of robust voter turnouts which they believe favor Dems.

So imagine a place where officials go out of their way to make sure voters have the opportunity to cast their ballots. BBC reports (video embedded) that Indian election officials traveled across miles of ocean to provide voting machines to 44 inhabitants of Ajad Tapu island, off the north western coast of India. India is in its sixth round of voting for its general election. Twenty-nine of the 44 eligible voters on the island voted.
