It's Bolton's World, We're Just (For Now) Living In It

When former National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster was given the gate at the White (Supremacist) House last year, one of the names that caused the greatest concern as a successor was warmongering crackpot John "Loose Bolt" Bolton, known for his cheerleading of the Iraq War folly and of a regime change war with Iran.

As news broke that the Pentagon had been ordered to plan for the deployment of 120,000 troops to the Middle East, it came as no surprise that Bolton was leading the effort.
"The development reflects the influence of Mr. Bolton, one of the administration’s most virulent Iran hawks, whose push for confrontation with Tehran was ignored more than a decade ago by President George W. Bush.

It is highly uncertain whether Mr. Trump, who has sought to disentangle the United States from Afghanistan and Syria, ultimately would send so many American forces back to the Middle East.

It is also unclear whether the president has been briefed on the number of troops or other details in the plans. On Monday, asked about if he was seeking regime change in Iran, Mr. Trump said: 'We’ll see what happens with Iran. If they do anything, it would be a very bad mistake.'”
It's good to know that unfit buffoon and biggest loser Donald "Rump" Trump likely isn't aware of what plans his own senior national security advisor is ordering up from the Pentagon. They probably didn't want to bother him when he's devoting much of his time to planning a Fourth of July celebration to the nation to himself. After all, a narcissist has his priorities.

We noted last week that Trump seemed taken aback at the aggressive actions of Bolton when it came to possible military intervention in Venezuela, suggesting that Bolton wants to get him "into a war." (Insert bone spurs joke here). It wouldn't be the first time that Bolton steered an administration toward his view of the world, as a jungle where might makes right, and starting wars of choice isn't such a bad thing. He's one very dangerous zealot, second only to his demagogic boss.
