Bigoted sociopath Donald "Rump" Trump has approved mass immigration enforcement raids to begin this coming Sunday, according to the New York Times:
"The raids, which will be conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement over multiple days, will include “collateral” deportations, according to the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the preliminary stage of the operation. In those deportations, the authorities might detain immigrants who happened to be on the scene, even though they were not targets of the raids."Some 2,000 undocumented immigrants in 10 major cities are being targeted mostly for failing to appear before a court, although the raids are also expected to involve undocumented immigrants who happen to be on the scene when the others are detained. The good news is that Trump's announced the raids four days in advance, allowing immigrant communities to prepare. In addition, immigration lawyers will be on alert to file motions in court to reopen their clients' cases, which could take months at a minimum.
The raids are part of the Trump regime's strategy to employ the cruelest means -- including family separations -- to discourage immigrants who are fleeing violence and poverty from coming to the U.S.
