Epstein Takes His Own Life

The suicide of registered sex offender and Trump friend multi-millionaire Jeffrey Epstein in his jail cell earlier today was Epstein's final slap in the face for his countless victims who have been denied justice and vindication for now. As new evidence was emerging in unsealed court documents of Epstein and his circle engaging in new acts of sexual abuse of minor girls, Epstein was apparently on suicide watch at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan at some point following his attempted suicide in July.  They must not have been watching too closely.

His death means that the Federal case brought against him will be dismissed, but he had accomplices in his abuse, specifically his companion Ghislaine Maxwell, who has been sued by one of Epstein's young victims, Virginia Guiffre. Maxwell may now face additional victim suits and Federal prosecution now that the main target is gone. This may not be over yet.

BONUS:  Given the number of powerful people potentially implicated in Epstein's legal tangle, now ended, some are smelling a rat, or the equally toxic appearance of a conspiracy.  We need answers.

  1. Lotsa theories already. Epstein was like Trump in that he can't understand or feel shame, so if he did kill himself, it was more along the lines of losing power and control. But if he was under serious supervision as a suicide watch would indicate, it seems remarkably lax of the security to allow him to kill himsel, especially he allegedly tried it earlier.

So maybe he was going to tell on someone and they couldn't afford to have him yakking. He was a coward who made others do his dirty work, so I wouldn't be surprised that there were some extra helping hands at the alleged suicide. He was a terrible, terrible man.

I say we need to see the body and test the DNA.

    Also, good riddance.

  2. donnah -- So many questions about this, about the "suicide watch" that failed. The case needs to be pursued through prosecution of Epstein's accomplices and enablers.

  3. Oh, yessir, don't throw out any evidence or related charges that might uncover wrongdoing by everyone else. Full speed ahead! And let the chips fall where they may.

Now I'm reading conflicting stories about the suicide watch, whether he was under surveillance or not. **eyeroll** They need to get their stories straight.
