William Taylor, our current chargé d'affaires in Ukraine, will testify to Congressional lawmakers today about the illegal efforts to extort political favors from Ukraine in exchange for the release of U.S. military aid. Taylor, a West Point graduate and Vietnam veteran, famously raised a red flag in a text message to Trumpist ambassador / donor Gordon Sondland about corrupt con man and Russian asset Donald "Tovarich" Trump's abuse of his authority to pressure Ukraine to manufacture dirt on former VP Joe Biden and his son Hunter to use in the 2020 elections.
After clearly getting improper instructions from Sondland to assist Trump consigliere and flailing buffoon Rudy "Rudy Colludey" Giuliani, Taylor wrote to Sondland:
"I think it's crazy to withhold security assistance for help with a political campaign."Sondland then suggested that they get offline and talk on the phone, as any innocent party would do.
Taylor's testimony is expected to bolster the accounts of former ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovich, former National Security Council official and Russian expert Fiona Hill, and others who have been subpoenaed to testify to Congress. Stay tuned.
