Ever since he soiled the Oval Office, malignant narcissist and Kremlin asset Donald "Impeachable Me" Trump has been lying at a phenomenal clip. Fortunately, the fact checkers at the Washington Post have been keeping a running tally of what they delicately call "false and misleading claims," and have an update to report for today:
"As President Trump approaches his 1,000th day in office Wednesday, he has significantly stepped up his pace of spouting exaggerated numbers, unwarranted boasts and outright falsehoods. From his ridiculous claim that he had the largest inauguration turnout in history, to his latest lies about his shake down phone call to Ukrainian President Zelensky, he's mentally and morally incapable of telling the truth. As the article notes, there's been an uptick in the lying recently, as he feels tremendous pressure from the impeachment inquiry, and as his sick betrayal of our Kurdish allies to the benefit of ISIS and Russia has blown up in his orange face.
As of Oct. 9, his 993rd day in office, he had made 13,435 false or misleading claims, according to the Fact Checker’s database that analyzes, categorizes and tracks every suspect statement he has uttered. That’s an average of almost 22 claims a day since our last update 65 days ago." (our emphasis)
