Sunday Reflection: What I Am Today

"Many things have been said about what happened, but I don't know either. Maybe someday. One thing I'm sure of is that all the things that have happened to me, good and bad, happy and sad, have made me what I am today."  -- original Beatles drummer Pete Best who was replaced by Ringo Starr not long before the Beatles breaktrough. Best turned 78 today.

Despite being one of the great "what might have been" stories of modern musical culture, he's at peace with himself and has a perspective on what some call "fate" that we could all use.
