You are absolute heroes to us and we cannot thank you enough." -- TV host James Corden last week, speaking for hundreds of thousands of Californians whose lives are being forever changed by the wildfires sweeping the state. Risking their lives while battling not just the flames, but the Santa Ana winds that are seeding new fires wherever hot embers blow, thousands of California firefighters are finally getting control of most of the fires across the state. Corden's right: you can't thank them enough for what they're doing.
