The editor of the largest circulation (5 million) evangelical Christian magazine, founded by Billy Graham no less, is calling for malignant moron Donald "Beelzebub" Trump's removal from office. The less- than- perfect editorial in Christianity Today comes to an... um, epiphany:
To the many evangelicals who continue to support Mr. Trump in spite of his blackened moral record, we might say this: Remember who you are and whom you serve. Consider how your justification of Mr. Trump influences your witness to your Lord and Savior. Consider what an unbelieving world will say if you continue to brush off Mr. Trump’s immoral words and behavior in the cause of political expediency. If we don’t reverse course now, will anyone take anything we say about justice and righteousness with any seriousness for decades to come? Can we say with a straight face that abortion is a great evil that cannot be tolerated and, with the same straight face, say that the bent and broken character of our nation’s leader doesn’t really matter in the end?Does the editorial opinion of one evangelical, however powerful, mean the floodgates are opening and the evangelicals who form a large part of the red hat cult will begin abandoning Beelzebub? Hardly. But, it was something to see at this fraught moment in history when blind loyalty to Beelzebub is being offered by virtually his entire rotted- out party and it's legion of Bible- thumping pharisees.
Of course, a triggered Beelzebub was quick to take note of the slight:
A far left magazine, or very “progressive,” as some would call it, which has been doing poorly and hasn’t been involved with the Billy Graham family for many years, Christianity Today, knows nothing about reading a perfect transcript of a routine phone call and would rather.....— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 20, 2019
....have a Radical Left nonbeliever, who wants to take your religion & your guns, than Donald Trump as your President. No President has done more for the Evangelical community, and it’s not even close. You’ll not get anything from those Dems on stage. I won’t be reading ET again!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 20, 2019
And, of course, Twitter was quick to respond:
First of all, it’s CT, not ET. Second of all, I would bet cash money that you never even heard of it until last night.— Miss-tletoe Behavior 🎄 (@Rbrbndgrl) December 20, 2019
Also, you can’t read.
Far left magazine! Lol— Melissa Florer-Bixler (@MelissaFloBix) December 20, 2019
The man who just yesterday derided a dead American hero and his widow; who cheated on his third wife with a porn star while she was at home caring for their newborn; who separates children from parents; want you to believe Christianity Today knows nothing about being Christian.— Morten Øverbye (@morten) December 20, 2019

BONUS: Emma Green at The Atlantic interviews the author of the editorial, Mark Galli.
BONUS II: Steve M. clues us in that Galli is retiring from CT on January 3, writing this editorial on the way out the door. So maybe a golf clap is in order.
